The Electric Company has been on since 1971? Where have I been? Not noticing television is a good reason for not having seen it until last night. The early evening half an hour I spend in front of television with a small (ahem) bowl of ice cream. In fact, I'm not hauling a television to Chicago next week so I'll do ice cream and a book.
At first, I was delighted to see six dark haired kids featured and one blonde, an accurate representation of todays population. Then I heard songs, "There are two ways to say C and either are okay with me." There were all American young rap singers, cows in space and messages regarding creativity, "There's no right way or wrong way, only your way." A character decided on making a cookie with spinach only to say, "A voice in my head told me it was a good idea. Ehhhh." I'll talk about the decibel thing tomorrow because it's quite emotional for me.
Brilliant. About words, letters and games, love it. The writers? Oh my God, congratulations. I think I read about this in one of Gladwell's books. Wow.
