The Verb Was, Is Ugly

My writing has improved ten fold since I understand why I need to extract the - was, from almost each sentence I composed.  Caution is needed with the lifeless verb "be" in all its different forms.  Perhaps necessary in some cases, I think in most (now!) that to use was, is yucky.  Because there are so many better verbs.  It's my natural good luck that I live hip to hip with a Thesaurus, because, I can come up with other verbs.

I haven't thought of a favorite verb yet.
