Mouse in the Washer

Allow me to preface this true story by telling you, I liked, but easily broke, two twenty dollar wireless Mice by Dynex. So I bought an eighty dollar Mouse by Logitech that I hoped wouldn't quit on me.

Yesterday, I scooped up covers on my bed to bring to the washing machine then dryer. Transferring the wet towels into the dryer I saw a battery and thought, "That's weird."
I bent over and shoved my load inside and turned it on. I heard a sound that was incongruent with the tumbling of soft fabric, but gave it no further thought. When I opened the dryer, a part of my Logitech Mouse fell out (I found the other part later). "Oh no!" I thought.

Before taking a taxi cab to and from the nearby Best Buy, I went to get new batteries, patch it together and try it. I was reasonably surprised. What a killer great Mouse.

Now I'm late for work because of a careless individual at Comcast. That's a buzz kill after the Mouse miracle.
